Né le 1 octobre 1947, Stephen à joué dans des dizaines de téléfilms comme "un amour à haut risque", "jusqu'à ce que la mort nous sépare", "Scarlett "(1995), "drôle de vie" et dans la série "Jake Cutter" (1982-1983). Il est apparu dans des films, des séries, des mini-séries. Il a joué dans des pièces de théatre à Broadway et ailleurs. Il a réalisé 3 épisodes de 7 à la maison : "Nothing Endures But Change", "Paranoia" et "I really did". Il est marié avec l'actrice Faye Grant et ils ont une fille adolescente. Il sait jouer de la basse et de la guitare. Stephen a écrit plusieurs livres et sorti 2 albums. il a donné des concerts avec son groupe (the 7th Band) à Los Angeles.
